OnlySimchas.com Reaches New Milestone - 500 Posted Simchas.
HACKENSACK, NJ - April 2, 2001 - OnlySimchas.com, the leading online Jewish
celebration web site has reached another impressive milestone. Today,
OnlySimchas members uploaded the 500th picture gallery and proved that there
may be a future for quality driven web sites.
The site's page views have rocketed to 1.3 million for the month of March,
up from 30,000 just 6 months earlier. The site is an online resource where
viewers anywhere can post pictures of happy and ceremonial occasions for
friends and family to observe. They can also reserve a date for upcoming
events, see related Simchas and post Mazel Tov wishes to others, thanks to
web-based software developed by Dov Katz, the site's founder and CTO.
"Every new entry is exciting for me," says Katz, "I am always eager to see
which new region is getting word of us, and taking advantage of our
services."
The sites founders can't help but be pleasantly surprised by the site's
unprecedented growth. Michael Novich, CEO, explains, "Most of our growth
has been a result of viral marketing, word-of-mouth that is a testament to
viewers' appreciation of our work. We have certainly addressed a necessity,
and done it well." Novich plans on integrating the professional photography
industry into the site's future plans by offering to post high quality
photographs and attribute them to the specific vendor.
Doron Katz, President & COO and the momentum behind OnlySimchas, has
numerous additional plans for the site's growth. Together with Joseph
Markovitz, CMO, Katz has developed a business plan that includes the
creation of an online gift registry and the sale of banner advertising.
Katz explains, "I love what we've done so far, and it can only get bigger as
we enter new national and international regions. It's all a matter of
proper positioning and good decisions; I'm confident in our energetic
staff."
With new proposals and novel ideas streaming in daily, the founders often
step back and ponder the positive effects of a real-time linkage of Jews
worldwide. "Many times in our History, Jews could have benefited from a
relationship with their brothers universally. It's amazing to think we may
have stumbled upon it here," ponders Markovitz, "and the truth is, it would
be great to go down in history as the web site that united the Jewish world
in celebration."
